The 2013 session of International Space Camp is in full swing!
A great way to keep up-to-date with the happenings and goings-on of International Space Camp in real time is to check out the Twitter feeds of some of the participants.
For your convenience, I’ve created a list of these ISC 2013 participants on Twitter you can subscribe to or just visit to see all of their recent posts in one spot! Should I turn up any more tweeting participants, I’ll update the list as well as this post.

This evening’s International Space Camp Opening Ceremony is unique in that, for the first time, the general public has been invited to come in and enjoy the show!
That’s not to say the event had previously been closed to the public. If you knew where and when it was, no one was going to turn you away at the door.
But it was never really publicized until this year.
The Space & Rocket Center issued invitations over Facebook and Twitter yesterday and sent out a press release, to boot!
If you’re in Huntsvile, AL this evening, walk on into the Davidson Center before the scheduled start of 5:30 PM and enjoy!
International Space Camp is just around the corner! In one short week, teachers and students from all over the planet will descend upon the U.S. Space & Rocket Center to attend International Space Camp.
I’ve long said that International Space Camp is one of the very best things Space Camp does all year, in years full of best things!
And in 2009, a Belgium television show, Een Simpel Plan, followed the Belgium educator Bianca Nowak as she attended International Space Camp.
This program does a fantastic job at captured the excitement and adventure found at Space Camp!
I highly recommend taking a look. The vast majority of it is subtitled, but it’s almost unnecessary. Bianca’s enjoyment and enthusiasm requires no translation.

First July 19 was the date. Then it was up in the air. Then it was on for certain for July 19th.
Now, the 2013 Space Camp Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony has been officially cancelled.
The current plan is to carry 2013 inductees over to a 2014 ceremony.
Despite previously noted concerns about pinning down the date for the Space Camp Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, it appears to be on for July 19 after all!
Tickets are now for sale at the Space Camp Store at a cost of $45.00 each.
Retired astronaut Charles Precourt will be speaking at the event as well.
While there has yet to be a public release stating who the new inductees are, rest assured. Space Camp always puts on a fine evening with great food, regardless!
The 2013 Space Camp Hall of Fame inductees have been chosen, but their induction date might be up in the air.
While the 2013 Space Camp Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony had been scheduled for July 19, that date might have slipped to an as yet unknown future date.
There may have been some availability issues with one or more of the inductees this year. If this is indeed the case, Space Camp, in an effort to have all parties involved present at the ceremony, may choose an alternate date.
This has yet to be finalized, but with July 19 coming up fast, there isn’t much time left!
Credence to this rumor is supported further by the disappearance of the ceremony from the Space Camp Events Calendar. And tickets to the event are not currently for sale.
The Space Exploration Celebration remains on track for July 18.
If you’ve been on the right Space Camp mailing list, you’ve probably seen several emails recently offering some great discounts on Space Camp.
With extra capacity in some programs, Space Camp has been offering certain camps at the barn-burner price of $579 ($400 off) for the week when you book camps taking place in the very near future. The latest offer was for camps starting the week of June 30.
I mention this just in case you haven’t been getting these deals.
My thought is that they’re probably sending these out to anyone signed up for the Alumni Community. And so if you think you might be able to take advantage of these short-notice specials sometime this summer, it’s probably best to go register!

Space Camp really seems serious about their new “Naked Man” logo.
So much so that the big red gate at Space Camp is seeing the change.
Newly posted to the USSRC Facebook page is a photo showing a changing of the guard.
